Unfortunately Ed and I didn’t get out to Tacoma today to visit with daddy, but we did receive some great news from GEICO about the accident we were in! We were found to be at 0% fault for the accident. We’re glad that the insurance company and our adjuster came through for us in the end.

Here’s a bonus photo of Ed scarfing down some diced peaches and showing off her newest teeth!

We now have a location set for Edwin’s birthday party! Join us at Bayview Java & Deli in Port Orchard on Saturday, October 3rd. Ed and I hangout at Bayview on Monday mornings after we shop the 99 cent sale at St. Vincent de Paul next door. It’s definitely one of the highlights of our weekly routine.

One of our other weekly routines is visiting Troy at work in Tacoma on Thursdays for lunch. Look for a post later this week with photos!

Ed has taken an interest in books (beyond chewing on them, at least). She can sit with her pile of books, opening and closing them over and over for a good thirty minutes.

She’s also interested in cars and just about anything with wheels, thanks to weekends spent at grandma Binford’s playing with cousin Trenton’s monster trucks.

We lowered Edwin’s crib to its lowest mattress setting today. Look how tall she is! I was so amazed I just had to take a photo. And I couldn’t resist snapping this photo a couple weeks ago of her napping all sprawled out (she’s usually a bum-in-the-air, face-in-the-mattress sleeper).

Ed’s first birthday is 51 days away! I can’t believe how fast this year has gone by. I’ve started designing invitations and envelopes and drafting a guest list for the party… and it’s gonna be big. Life is good when you’re the only baby in the family (and your parent’s circle of friends)!

As of now, I have the date set at Saturday, October 3rd at 2 or 3pm. We’re not 100% sure on the location because, like I said, the guest list is pretty big and our apartment is not.

Also! I’m very excited to announce that we’ll be broadcasting the party live on the internet, for those who can’t make it in person. We’ll also be recording video and, of course, taking tons of photos.

Speaking of videos, here’s a video of Ed finally figuring out her push toy…
